The visit was part of a project between 2 Scottish colleges (Edinburgh Telford College and Cardonald College Glasgow) and the Textile Institute in Tangail, approximately 60km north of Dhaka. Day 2 saw us driving upto Tangail with interesting scenary on the way.

On arriving our first visit was to a cotton weaving factory specialising in lunghi – a tube of cotton fabric worn by men and tied in front:
